The 2009 ALA Spotlight Series featured workshops at the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin — Madison. The Spotlight Series offered graduate and undergraduate students, as well as post-docs a unique opportunity to tune-up for life after graduation and explore the field of laboratory automation. The ALA Spotlight Series is a high-caliber, scientific program created by ALA in collaboration with Pioneer Hi-Bred and Syngenta Seeds and Pfizer, Inc. and Amgen. The half-day workshops comprised several comprehensive scientific presentations in conjunction with networking with career development specialists and scientists from all four companies.
