Learn How to Put Your Technology to Work

ALA Spotlight Series Faculty Advisors

Steve Hamilton, Ph.D.

Mark F. Russo, Ph.D.

As part of ALA’s educational mission, we have enlisted two familiar laboratory automation icons as faculty advisors to help research, develop and deploy the explicitly science-based curriculum for the ALA Spotlight Series.

The technology behind laboratory automation is perhaps some of the most advanced technology in the world. Innovations are constant and the pace of discovery is breathtaking. While exciting, this poses the challenge of understanding how to effectively utilize automation and technology in your laboratory.

The ALA Spotlight Series is a series of complimentary one-day scientific, results-based educational programs that highlight putting automation to work. This concentrated educational series, driven by ALA's Scientific Faculty Advisors and created in partnership with Symyx Technologies, Inc. and Thermo Fisher Scientific, will feature in-depth sessions and direct participant-presenter engagement. Participants will benefit from the knowledge, insights and experiences of the ALA-member presenters regarding the successes and challenges of transfer and deployment of automation and technologies in the laboratory.
