Since his current role as Research Scientist at Syngenta Seeds doesn't provide him the opportunity to work at the lab bench, Jason has taken to performing his own version of wet chemistry at home — as a master beer-brewer and wine-maker. These talents, in addition to being an internationally recognized breed show judge, keep Jason pretty busy when he's not involved in leading cross-functional teams in identifying, researching, validating, recommending, implementing, and integrating nascent technologies into Syngenta's worldwide laboratory network. Recognized in the food and agricultural industries as a noted author and award-winning speaker, Jason brings an impressive amount of energy and enthusiasm to his roles within ALA. He has served on the Steering Committee and the LabAutomation2008 Scientific Committee. As a member of the Board of Directors, Jason plans to build and support ALA's growth into other industries and raise awareness among students and young professionals.
