ALA Online Travel Desk
ALA's Travel Desk offers attendees one-stop shopping for hotel, airline and car rental services. Features include immediate access to hotel availability, hotel maps, detailed amenities, translation of the text into various languages, international travel partners, and group reservations.
Palm Springs Accommodations
ALA has secured discounted sleeping rooms at "Event Hotels" in Palm Springs. When you choose an Event Hotel, you receive:
- Special negotiated rates
- A larger inventory of available rooms

- Greater access to sponsored activities, customers, colleagues and contacts
- Expedited itinerary changes through the ALA Travel Desk
Please note, all hotels are located within walking distance of the convention center, so shuttle service is not required.
Room reservations can be made on-line via the Travel Desk or by faxing your completed housing form to: +1.312.329.9513. Individual reservations must be received no later than Friday, December 28, 2007.
Hotel Reservations
To make your hotel reservation for nine rooms or less, use one of these methods:
- Online! Make your reservations online for immediate confirmation of hotel. Please have your credit card and arrival/departure information ready.
- Call the ALA Travel Desk between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (CST), Monday through Friday to make your hotel reservations. Please have your credit card and arrival/departure information ready.

Reservations are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis and on room availability. Do not submit a duplicate copy of your hotel reservation form if you already faxed it or if you registered online.
Once you submit your housing form online you will receive a confirmation immediately via e-mail.
DEPOSIT: Hotels require a credit card guarantee. Check deposits are not accepted after December 17, 2007.
CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS: All reservation changes and cancellations must be made through the ALA Travel Desk until January 17, 2008. Do not contact the hotel directly prior to this date. Changes can be communicated as noted above under "hotel reservations." You may also email the Travel Desk at: labautomation@ttgonline.com.
After January 17, 2008, you must make your changes or cancellations directly with the hotel.
To avoid being charged for one night, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to your arrival date, unless stated below. This also applies to early departures (checking out a day or more early).
INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
The online Travel Desk offers special services for our international visitors. The Travel Desk pages are available in numerous languages. Click on the appropriate flag and general information will be translated into that language.
